Students and educators thrive in environments of safety & connection.

Transformative School Culture

Together with your school’s leadership, faculty, staff, and community, I can help support the unfolding of an SEL-aligned culture using a step-by-step approach that unifies models, research, and best practices according to field leaders such as The Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL), Social, Emotional, and Ethical Learning (SEE), and Parker Palmer’s Courage to Teach program.

I also integrate my own research and personal approach to create transformative school cultures that center qualities such as emotional safety, belonging, leadership, empathy, self-compassion, creativity, and authentic connection among adults and students alike.

Culture Assessment & Consulting

Decades of research have contributed to effective protocol in observing and collecting qualitative data on a school’s current climate. Through close observation, student and educator feedback, and the generation of a new shared language, we can begin to create a unique plan for unfolding a mindfulness-based and SEL-aligned culture that permeates your school community.

1:1 Educator Support

Our education system often lacks resources to support the personal wellbeing of its educators. Teaching elicits many emotions on a daily basis, and school cultures shift when educators are personally supported to explore their daily challenges and victories, and everything in between.

Designated meeting times provide an opportunity for feedback, connection, professional development, and wellbeing support designed to help educators and staff bring greater clarity, peace of mind, and balance both to their lives in general, and to the difficult, important, and inspiring work they do every single day.

Mindfulness & SEL for Students

Whether through explicit SEL instruction, inspiring speakers and workshops, or implicit skill sets and competencies woven into existing curricula, providing students a safe container to practice new ways of thinking, being, and interacting, is an important step in implementing a school culture that allows everyone to thrive.
